Attention movie and art lovers:

If you appreciate independent film, unique art and want to celebrate the talent of creative minds, this is one event you won’t want to miss!

The ‘Picture This…’ Film Festival: On the Road in Vancouver showcases artists and film makers from all across the world. The goal is to inspire festival goers to consider disAbility in a new way, while dispelling common misconceptions that may exist.

The evening will include a screening of several award-winning short films from around the world including Northern Ireland, Spain and the US. All films are written/directed/produced by persons with disAbilities.

This year’s festival includes a gallery showcase of local art from independent artists and community organizations. The gallery will feature a mixed-media installation entitled “Community through Instagram”. The piece is a creation of individuals from Open Door Group

Thrive program, which supports people living with mental health conditions to connect with their communities.
For the first time, the evening will also feature live music. We’re excited to have a performance by Lazare Halk, a gifted guitarist who also happens to have a visual impairment.
